I took the default configuration of WordPress and wanted to make a few initial changes. The changes I made are:
- WordPress address (URL) and Site address (URL)
- Set permalinks to /%postname%/
- Create categories and tags
- Delete default post, comment and page
- Links
- Delete existing
- link to related website
- Rename Link Category from “Blogroll” to “Links”
- Menus
- create menu called “Common”
- Add links to similar to main site navigation
- Alter Widgets
- Add user as “Editor”
- Settings
- General
- Tagline – a mobile application developer
- TimeZone
- Time format – AM
