PayPal Donations

I wanted to setup a way for people to support the website. The natural mechanism was PayPal.

I searched around PayPal’s website and found the links to fundraise. To accept money, you need to setup a Premier account. The account setup was straightforward. I verified the account by connecting to my bank account and also verified my email address.

The next thing I did was signup for the PayPal micropayments. The micropayment options allows for smaller PayPal processing rates.

The last thing I did was create a couple of PayPal buttons. I selected the donations button type for the first one with a variable amount. The second one was a subscription button type with two payment amounts. I created a donation web page and added PayPal’s code. I also created a link on the top of the blog.
