Install WordPress on Media Temple

Here are the steps to install WordPress on Media Temple:

Log in to Media Temple account
Click Overview –> Admin
Click on 1-Click Apps under Add-Ons
Click New App
Click Add next to WordPress
For application URL if you want the entire website to be WordPress, enter domainname.com
Select New Database
Given an unique database name in case you install multiple database in the future like “testwp”
The database table prefix is fine as “wp_”
Click Install
Click Backup Content and Proceed if previous content is detected
Monitor status
Once status changes to “Finish installation” click on line to URL of website
WordPress configuration

Select English (United States) and Continue
Enter Site Title
Enter username of “admin”
Enter password
Enter email address
Click Install WordPress

Click Log In and confirm you can log into WordPress dashboard
