I had created a WooCommerce Private Store in WordPress using the a plugin by Barn 2 Media. Unfortunately, one of the consequence was the reset password page is know password protected by the Private Store plugin. I learned that WooCommerce takes over the normal WordPress login routines and moved it to the WooCommerce My Account page which then gets protected by the Private Store plugin. You can go to the normal WordPress /wp-login/ or /wpadmin/ pages but not ideal.

I did some research and found the Theme My Login plugin. It was a very straightforward plugin and created a set of page for login, logoff and reset password that weren’t blocked by the Private Store. There was slight issue on what happened after you logged in and out and a Redirection extension resolved those issues.

Finally, the plugin had shortcuts so I was able to create a login area on the home page.
