I was trying to take an AVI video file and upload to Instagram. Since Instagram is a mobile only app for sharing posts, I was trying to figure out a way to copy the AVI file to my iPhone. I found a way to upload images via iCloud to get them in the iPhone camera roll. However, that technique didn’t work for videos. So, I figured out I could add to my Dropbox account and then save to the camera roll. However, it said the file was a file type supported. So, I did some research and found out VLC Media Player will convert files in the free version. I converted to a format supported by the iPhone and was able to post on Instagram.
