Copy Formula in Excel Without Changing the References

I had a need to copy a formula in Excel but didn’t want part of the formula to change. I did some research and found out part of the formula that references other cells can be made absolute. This is done putting a “$” in front of the cell reference like this ($A$1). The $ can be put at both parts or just one part is desired.
